Homosexuals and Respect

Melissa Etheridge says she won’t pay taxes because, ‘I am not a full citizen’

She won’t pay taxes! Wait a damn minute. Doesn’t she drive on our roads? Benefit from the services provided by our government? I guess she doesn’t feel it is her responsibility to help educate our future generations. Oh I get it now! Another one that benefits from our society, but now, because the majority of the citizens of California doesn’t agree with her that homosexuals should be able to participate in the sanctity of marriage, she thinks she shouldn’t have to pay taxes.

If anybody shouldn’t have to pay taxes in this country, it is the Veterans that have come back from combat. Not someone that didn’t get their way on voting day.

The homosexuals are demanding respect, which they deserve because they are humans’ and citizens of our great country, but some of them show no respect for the citizens of the states that do not to legally allow them to be married.

Quite a few of the homosexual celebrities have come out vocally against the citizens of California for passing Proposition 8. Here is what I hear from them….Wah, Wah, Wah, wah, wah!

I am not going to debate in this blog whether homosexuals should have the same rights to marriage as a heterosexual couple. I only want to point out the behavior of some when they don’t get their way. In an article on MSNBC I read lamenting such as “farm animals have more rights than they do”. Give me a break….

Here is another quote from the article….

“I think it’s discrimination,” Aguilera said in a Thursday interview with MTV News. “I don’t understand how people can be so close-minded and so judgmental. We chose an African-American president who means so much in a time in history of great change and open-mindedness. Why is this any different? It just doesn’t make sense to me.”

Well Aguilera, it is different. I don’t recall homosexuals being enslaved, I don’t recall homosexuals being denied the right to vote. I personally think it is an offense to black Americans to compare their plight to the homosexuals. After all, a homosexual can walk into a room of strangers and not be identified as a homosexual. However if a black man walks into a room of strangers there is no question as to him being a black man.

Obama winning the presidency was for reasons other than him being black, it had to do with his promises to lead our country in a new direction.

Evidently the voters just didn’t like the direction the homosexuals wanted to lead us. You would think that would tell them something.

Haven’t heard Senator McCain whining over his loss.
